plumerias look so simple and yet i had a hard time making them look just right. the subtle turn if the petals, the surprising depth they go until the stem, and the delicate cuve of the petals were challenges i did not anticipate - i just wanted to draw a pretty flower! but i think i did end up understanding the shapes and loving the flow.
theyre beautiful flowers and more than any of the others ive sketches so far, this one really made me crave going to the botanical gardens and seeing them for myself, irl.
i also got some new pens i played with! which means i didn’t quite yet know how to use them and some parts went wrong.May 28, 2024
