ChugaisterAccording to the legends, Chugaister had been a human when his neighbor cursed him to live an immortal life deep in the woods. After that, he had become a forest creature that protected humans from nyavkas by catching them and tearing them apart.
Chugaister is a personification of the wind: he talks with a strong lisp due to his old age, likes to play a reedpipe, and, some say, can transform into a breeze or a gust of wind. And despite being ancient, Chugaister is an incredible dancer - when he dances with humans, no one can keep up with his quick moves. If a person is lucky, they only break the soles of their shoes; if not, they fall to the ground, exausted.
All-in-all, Chugaister must be the kindest spirit of the Ukrainian forest. He does the least harm, at least :0Nov 16, 2023
