Wanna hear the explanation that robs everyone of the joke? Yeah? Cool.
So, „Turteltaube“/ its diminutive „Turteltäubchen“ is German for „turtledove“ and also used to refer to couples, similar to the English term „lovebirds“ I suppose. „Tod“ means „Death“, „sei mein“ means „be my“.
(My niche target audience is spooky alt peeps who are unapologetically cringe, if you couldn‘t tell.)
As I might have mentioned in another post, the Ginreapers will often make their stage attire match something related to the concert/tour theme or date/location, adding elements to their „base costume“ that‘s solely based on the grim reaper. For a Valentine‘s concert they chose their cloak to be turtledove-inspired, for the reasons mentioned above. Will the proceeds of that concert go to a pigeon sanctuary or will Hellmuth and Manfred run away with the money to go on a fancy date? Who the heck knows.Feb 13, 2026
