Realistic portrait as a practice for a friend's dog, I think her name is Camila?It took me forever because I wanted to have everything as neat as possible but I think it was worth it, if it's not obvious I get a lot of inspiration from Assovi and REYKAT for this style of painting.
The reason I like it a lot is because I feel like it's a lot simpler than how I usually paint fur, since I can use longer brush strokes without worrying about it looking too realistic and I can concentrate more on the aesthetics.
With that said I feel like it takes me about the same amount of time, although I think this style looks better than the one I currently use lolFeb 24, 2025
