Less of an actual question and more a concern I need feedback on, but I have a problem. I picked the character on my comms sheet, Nimbus, because 1) I fancy him my mascot and 2) because that drawing of him was very conducive to being a comms example. It's fullbody, had good anatomy, and shows I can draw weapons.
The problem, that I forgot about, is that he never gets any likes or shares. Every time I have posted him he gets less than half of the engagement of anything else I post here. I wonder if it is his quirky orange and blue color scheme.
But most importantly, he might have been a bad choice for a comms sheet if he has limited appeal. If someone decides not to RT who would otherwise, because his design is like pineapple on pizza, that is a problem for promotional material.
I need honest thoughts on this. (He's the most recent post on my account, the orange-haired male with black sclera, white skin, and blue irises, if you want to respond but need a look at him.)May 24, 2023

lmaooo i have the same problem with my oc agent 36, she’s one of my favorites but gets so little engagement. but i really like your ocs design! i don’t think it’ll be a problem. people don’t really pay attention to the subject of the price sheet, rather, they’re more concerned about the prices themselves lol. people who are looking at your comm sheet are those who are already interested in commissioning you, so don’t sweat it :)

Honestly I have seen people making weirder choices for a comm model.
My advice would be to use more than one model as examples, maybe for half body and headshots. This could show better how diverse your designs can be.
