Wallace Reference sheet
Here's Wallace! He wasn't originally made for Venenum (my story), but I wrote him in because he is a favourite of mine. (And he basically struggles with the same things as m- WHAT NOTHING HAHA)NOW he is a fun sidecharacter~
Backstory:
Wallace is a low ranking Caster (magic user) with minor shape-shifting powers. He can change in one other form: that of a frogman. This power endangers him because people associate his other form with demons, thinking he is a demon in disguise. One big tell for recognising demons (besides their monster-like appearance) is that their eyes look strange. Eyes are the 'windows to the soul' and because demons don't have souls, the eyes look off. Wallace's cross-pupils are his magic defect and the reason why people are very distrusting towards him.
He has become a bit of a social outcast, never being able to stay in one place for long (villagers don't want him in their town). It hurts him, but he rarely talks about it, seemingly keeping up an optimistic attitude. Wallace has become a bard, travelling around spreading news in his song.
In the story he befriends Tiff during an important Caster celebration. He is one of the only genuine friends Tiff has, and they write eachother a lot. Although they cannot see eachother often, they sometimes run into eachother while doing their jobs. Wallace travels to disaster locations/ places with high demon activity to document the news in his songs and Tiff travels to those locations to fix problems.
Wallace MIGHT have written some flattering songs about the deeds of a "mysterious, masked man", slowly establishing a better reputation for TiffMay 9, 2021
