No way dude. $2??? You’re an artist no art-piece made by human hands is worth that. Charge minimum wage or charge enough to buy yourself something! That’s what I do. You could even charge based on time how much work gets put in. You’re art is cool please don’t undervalue yourself- especially if some baboonic moron tells you it’s too much. They’re just trying to take you down a peg or cheap you out. Lots of them use that AI nonsense anyways

1-2 dollars is bellow the threshold for any artist no matter the skill. It’s not about skill it’s about how much your time is worth + your skill. Charge what you want to charge and people will come. I charge up to £800 for my biggest artworks and people pay for them

1 to 2 dollars is low enough for ANY ARTIST regardless of skill.
If you feel uncomfortable and unconfident to put a larger price tag on your commissions my advice would be to actually take a step back from commission and just focus on what you believe needs more work.
I'll always recommend only ever doing commissions If you feel confident enough in your skills to do so.
I'm not going police how people choose to price their stuff but please do consider that you are not a mass manufacturer and you're not delivering the same thing in the same way. Time/technique is a important factor to consider when pricing commissions.

Nooooooooooooo! That's severely underselling yourself. You'd spent time, money, and energy to get to your current art skill. You don't have to consider yourself a professional artist to get decent compensation for your time and effort. At the very least, you deserve a minimum wage for your art.

Let's say you are quick and a comission only takes you 2 hours.
You take 2 dollars for that comission.
Now do you think an hourly wage of $1 is a fair amount to pay someone ? Or even worth it in general?
Honestly looking for spare change under vending machines or dumbpsterdiving for scrap metal seems like a more effective way to earn money at this point.
Artist don't charge for art skill alone, they charge for their time + the art skill.
If you don't think you are in a position to take minimum wage for your work then you probably shouldn't offer commissions.
Depending how young you are I would advise against taking comissions in general, anyway.
Extremely cheap prices aren't going to drive up demand if there wasn't demand in the first place.
If I don't want to buy a pair of shoes, the shoes only costing 2 bucks isn't going to change my mind.

•NO that's not a good price because it's WAY TOO LOW!! I'd say $10 is like the BARE minimum (also depends on how detailed and big the art piece is)
