I see some confusion under my last textpost so let me clear it up: what is a Mutual. I think a lot of new users could benefit from knowing this too
A mutual can be defined differently by people, but in my case (and i think generally)(other artfol oldies let me know if this isnt the most common definition) it is a word for someone who you follow and who follows you back, in some people’s case (like mine) another condition for being mutuals is to talk to each other a lot. Basically like art buddies. It’s not the same as everyone or followers. I don’t mind non-mutuals on my last post since the song recommendations are always good but I often post stuff labelled as Mutuals bc I dont have an option to make a post visible to certain people only and yet i want to let non-mutuals know that their advice/opinions are not what I am searching for. Maybe that sound harsh, but sometimes I just wanna talk to people I know well on here. Like the main reason why I asked for song recs from mutuals is because I trust my mutuals and it is easier for me to get my brain to listen to songs they suggest. It is hard to try new things for me, especially music, and when a rec comes from a person I know and like, it’s easier. So that is why, Kris! (c)
If Artfol ever gets a feature to make a post visible to mutuals only (or at least people i follow only) that would make it easier, but for now just remember this, if you are a follower of mine.
