You’re a bit combustible, don’t break my heartLyrics taken from Do You Wanna Fight Me by Venus Hum, brought to my attention by @euphoriusdesign . That song is very This Moment and just them and while the campaign has long since moved on, I feel like we the players did not.
What happened was that Fontaine, deep in his own thoughts, focused on getting useful spells from Dolly (who is also a warlock and they can swap ritual spells), and also reached out to touch Dolly’s mask of many faces in a way that triggered some very bad usefulness-related memories in the poor doll. Then Dolly had a conversation with his patron and came back with a very spontaneous speech about everything that occurred. In a genuine attempt to explain that he is upset and what happened was not okay, he made Fontaine fear that his secret (being a catfish) is discovered by not just Dolly but his otherworldly patron. (Dolly honestly hasn’t had an experience of being the scary one before and he fully expected to get smacked for that too)
Dolly and Fontaine are now friends, but they accidentally managed to scare each other and touch upon each other’s biggest fears completely accidentally. It hurts me… they need to bond over having artificial bodies and hair and how humans are very weird. AsapOct 1, 2024
