I also have been creating acearo characters ever since I was little, without realising that's who they were, because I couldn't be bothered to make them "into" somebody. And I think it's very interesting, because the process of Potatlia figuring out that he's aroace can just be based on me realising what I did as a kid. Like, "OOH THAT'S A THING THAT IS REAL"
He was born a thousand years ago, he doesn't know what those terms mean or that they even exist. He needs time. He also totally mispronounced "transgender" as "transjester" at least once, probably on purposeJul 24, 2021
