Comfort OCs (first sketchbook page)

Im breaking in a new mossery sketchbook and usually I just draw Mei on the first page. She’s the champaign bottle to my sketchbook ships.

But this time, i wanted to put a small group of my favorite OCs across the years. The ones I always end up doodling or sketching on whatever is around; the easy, fun, and satisfying ones that bring me joy. So not just Mei, who I’ve probably drawn like hundreds or thousands of times since the late 2000s, or Rya that always graced my notes from school into college.

That ballooned to 8 and i never plan layouts so its off center as always XD Clockwise from bottom left: Kawaiichan, Mei, Hana, Bass, Niro, Hideki, Rya and Doc in the center. I could draw them forever and not get bored.

Too bad theyre all from wildly different series if only i had a project that could combine them…

I also added a sampling of my first Mei pages through a selection of sketchbooks thru the years. Its by no means exhaustive but a nice sampling (peep that 2009 one).
