So here's a update on my comic(sorry that there's no art or picture attached):
The progress? Not as much as I would like in terms of art but the story is coming along great.

Many of the main cast have received updated designs to fit the tone of the series and the fact that my art style has changed a lot as well. Some characters haven't received updated designs such as the Zodiacs, Rex, and the one fish lady character that my friends liked a lot that showed up for two pages.
I've improved on my background skills a lot so hopefully that'll be more apparent in the comic when it releases. The main thing keeping me from being ready to release it is the formatting because of a few decisions I've been thinking on. There will be more info on these decisions in the Release Info section of this post.

The story has been developed a lot to the point where chapter 1 has been completed in terms of writing while I've jumped around to other chapters as well for just random concepts. In terms of writing I typically jump around from area to area in the timeline a lot anyways.
I have a vague general idea of the story as a whole and I've worked out minor details as well. The minor details have been anything ranging from Angelica and Nightmare having teasing names for each other to who's the big bad, how do they get stopped, and who stops them. I might release a side comic that will help give context on the world of Escapism called Escapism: Star Days. This was something I was planning on creating before I decided to restart the comic to fit how I've changed as a person since then.

Escapism: Star Days is a prequel comic to the main story of Escapism. The name might change but currently this is the one that's sticking. This comic will follow Melody and the Zodiacs as they go on random adventures and overall just learn about how this universe works. It's mainly going to help show what world building there is in the comic and explain some lore.

Now a question you've probably asked if you like Escapism is when is Escapism coming out? To be entirely honest I don't know. As I looked into releasing on Webtoon I realized that it might not be the best idea and also that how I do my coloring currently would take a much longer time to finish any page. At the pace I was at I was able to finish a Webtoon style page in around 10-15 hours or 3 days depending on how long I would sit down and work on the comic. These Webtoon style pages only covered for 3-5 panels.
I ended up questioning whether or not releasing on Webtoon would be the best idea. Currently I don't think I'm going to release Escapism on Webtoon, so this means that I'm not sure on where to release it. Artfol currently doesn't have a feature to add more than one picture at a time so that's mainly what's making me hesitant on releasing the comic here. The most likely place for me to post Escapism currently is on Tumblr. Escapism: Star Days will be posted here and will have little updates on Escapism's progress every now and again.

I will try to post more on here as well to be able to show you all updates on Escapism and will hopefully be able to give you all a guess or estimate on when the first chapter will properly start releasing.
