a room in the attic

this is one of my favourite watercolor illustrations I've ever done.
thinking about the layout, and coming up with small details to put into the illustration that would add to the atmosphere was a really fun experience. i had to stop and think about how if this was an actual place where a person lived, what would they do? how would they set everything up? what kind of personality would they have? what items would they possess?
I'm quite proud of how this one turned out
