Who is the most handsome boi ever??? :3 Yes, you are Tulip :3 The #kudapariso group on dA has a mini-event and we are in the middle of creating a new kuda sub-species; the war kudas! They are kuda pariso x lusitano breed, a heavier version of kudas. They also have shorter manes and tails to allow the riders to put armor on the horse. While kuda-pariso horses are agile and fast, the war version of them heavier, but elegant, has powerful neck and hind part, legs are still long and well toned, dry, ears curved. This breed has less chance to get the long tail mutations, but tend to be more colourful, than the original kuda-pariso horses.Tulip is NOT a war kuda, he is a normal kuda, but I couldn’t help myself to create a piece of him in his heavier glory :3
Btw look who tries to paint again??? I don’t even count anymore how many times I tried to tackle my painting game and well, the outcome was never the end result I wanted to reach. This horse is different though. First and foremost I didn’t feel utterly lost while I was painting the horse, the mixer brushes did almost exactly i wanted them to do and if not I was able to solve the problem. My colour choices are better than before, I added more blue reflection to the coat, tried to keep the colours of the light and shadow in mind. Tried to make the horse more 3D, avoiding flatness. And I tried to keep my edges on point. The feathers however made me suffer A LOT. Need to do birb studies. All in all the outcome kind of surprised me, because I didn’t even paint for months. What I did was working on my shadings instead. It helped a ton.Nov 16, 2021
