What's a weird misconception or question you've gotten?
I was asked if people who stutter type out their stutter.

It's quite "funny" what ppl goes around and think/asume? If kids ask questions like that it's understandable, but everyone else..
I have a big/long scar on my forhead (yes, just like Harry Potter, but more straight line), from above my eyebrow going some cm up in the hair. It doesn't bother me at all, it's from an old traffic accident, and I don't mind ppl asking, it's a quick story to tell. But one that stuck, was a woman asking if I had made it on purpose

•A lot of ppl (especially girls) have thought I'm a lesbian XD
So, I think it's a few things:
1. I grew up dressing in flannel and hiking boots and all the stereotypical lesbian clothes, so I still do and I think it throws ppl off
2. I've looked up to my adoptive dad since I was a kid, so I have A LOT of his traits
3 I'm very close to my friends(who are almost all girls), so ppl constantly see me hugging them, holding their hands/things, opening doors for them, leaning on them, ect.
4. I always draw girls, and tough, muscular girls at that, so it seems like that "confirms" ppls assumptions XD
But I've met some sweet girls who were under that assumption who ended up being my friends, so it's not so bad!

1. If you read or say a word too many times, it stops sounding like a real word. So reading a test question over & over again will just make it more confusing to read.
2. That’s a very ableist thing to say, if I’m not mistaken. That might work for neurotypical folks (I highly doubt it though, but that’s not the point!), but to say that to people with learning disabilities just makes them feel like they must be too stupid or broken because they can’t understand the question.

•I don't know if it counts, but I was pretty quiet at college and I am autistic (I also didn't really make friends, but that was because there were already friendgroups and groups of people feels intimidating to approach) . So my classmates would talk at the beginning among themselves when I was not there about that I was pretty weird. And one of my classmates who knew that I am autistic said that I had autism and then they were like "Ow! That explains it!" (I was told about that much later, so I wasn't there).
But it feels weird that my weirdness is justified by my diagnoses lol. Like, it is NOT weird that I am weird because I am autistic(?)

•• people assume that because i’m a minority that i can and should only date other minorities and get angry or shocked by the fact that i’m with a man who happens to be caucasian :)
• people assume that because i’m physically fit and love going to the gym that i’m not recovering from an eating disorder
• people assume that because i’m a Christian i can’t be mentally ill, so they’re always pleasantly surprised (heavy sarcasm there) when i tell them that i have 3 chronic illnesses lmao
• oh and people always assume my music taste (ending on a light note). They think I only listen to pop (I do love a lot of pop music) because of the way I look but I actually listen a lot more to heavy metal, hard dance, and hiphop

The question wasn't for me but it's to weird to not share it: the professor was explaining there was acid in the stomach and a classmate asked why the acids didn't melt the growing baby (in the case the person was pregnant). And this was in the middle of high school
