Inspired by nature, both its beauty and finality 
Blue Tit
The painting is based on something I saw during one of my walks at the Amsterdam Forest
The path I took that day was lined with pollard willows
A lot of them were completely hollow but all very much in bloom
Suddenly a small Blue Tit appeared
It hipped around the weathered bark looking for something tasty, then it disappeared in a small hole to reappear from the next
Right that moment I knew that image would be my next painting

The blue tit is the second 20x20 cm watercolour painting in a series of (now) 6.
Truthfully I'm not ready to part with this one so I'll keep it on my own wall for a while
