I've got a redraw for you, Crystal Beans! So, here's some context: I run a gaming channel on YouTube, and back in 2019 I played this game called Magician Lord for the Neo Geo (a home console with a very authentic arcade-like engine)~ I drew one thumbnail for use across the entire series, where my OC Volk was dressed as the main character, Elta, and firing a beam of magic light!
Now, fulfilling a request from my most consistent viewer, I am playing Magician Lord again, so I decided I would redraw the old thumbnail as an art to test my improvement Before I only drew Volk and added a photo for the background, but this time I drew the background myself. If you don't mind the spaghetti lightning, I think I did a really good job at this redraw I don't even dislike the original - he just looks so chibi compared to the newer one
Also, I learned about this cool program called NTSC-RS that adds realistic VHS effects to photos and videos! I used it in my new series, and then decided to use it here too for some extra flair I think I'll be using this a lot more often
