Yes, she got a name!! :D @applecidurr_ suggested this name and I instantly fell in love with it - elegant as she is :3The last time I drew a catto full body was aaaaaages ago and I am still not super familiar with them, so this took me way longer than it should and paws are still pain. But hey, I learned horse legs, and paws won't fuck me over.
I also play with her design a lot - not just her patterns (and that will surely change in the future - but also her body type: she is still a female jaguar, but jaguars are very chubby cats and I like my OCs to be slender :3 So she rather have a leopard body frame with jaguar spots. Technically she is still a jaguar, but I prefer her to be elegant :3
Also putting her background story bit by bit and she is a water deity: she can bend water as waterbenders in Avatar, but she is one of a kinds. She is a nature spirit/deity responsible for the water's "wellbeing" if we can say that: her task is to keep the balance of water in nature, bring raining and flood and spread new life trough water whenever she goes. She is a traveler, but only locally, means: she cannot travel in space and time. She takes care after her territory - which is extremely big, like a whole jungle - but she is not responsible for Africa for example. Rather like a Last Unicorn scenario, when the Unicorn has a forest she tends to and other forests are taken care of by other unicorns.
I can hear you: if she is a water spirit, then are there other spirits as well? The answer is yes! Earth, fire and air also has their own herders and probably i will have a fire and air catto as well - earth, I have no idea yet, but sooner or later will fill the holes :D
Now I just have Ivory here, making her never ending patrol, travelling trough her lands, bringing water to every living creature - or taking it away from them. She can give and take, causing drought as well.
Btw the element spirit family is huge - right now I have cats in mind for them, but every kind of cat, local species of different continents.May 1, 2023
