So, I may or may not be without a direct supervisor again. If so, this will be the 11th time in a little over a decade that my direct supervisor has been let go or has chosen to move on. In fairness, two were promoted. But that's two out of eleven. The rest were basically driven nuts until they had to vacate the position. Even the one who was fired was looking for other work when they let her go because the job was driving her insane. And they wonder why I never put in for that position 🤣. The job is basically a wood chipper for human beings. No thanks. I'll make slightly less (which I usually make up for in overtime) to do more grunt work and stay under the headhunters' radar. As the saying goes, I may not soar with the eagles, but at least weasels don't get sucked into jet engines.Feb 25, 2026

Being supervisors or in some kind of management isn't easy. It takes someone with guts and character to hold the reins of that particular job. I can imagine it can drive one up the wall if they are not prepared for it.
