Lukewarm take: plot spoilers don't have expiration dates. It is myopic as hell to assume anyone who is going to experience a media will do it before a certain date after release or "they missed out."
Some people have jobs and adulting and can't binge a whole game or series in a week. Some people are too young for a mature work. Some people haven't realized they'd like it. Some people aren't BORN yet. How come they don't matter?Jun 1, 2023

Yeah, argree on the jobs and adulting and whatever part. But lukewarm counter argument, nobody should expect to never get any spoilers ever, because other people should still be allowed to talk about stories

•It’s not even a take, I feel like this is simply a fact no one actually realizes because of how spoiling stories (which is a rude act in my eyes) has seemingly been normalized due to the internet.
Like, stories aren’t usually written to only be enjoyed in the present UNLESS they’re just trying to follow a trend or something.
Just because Romeo & Juliet was written literal HUNDREDS of years ago doesn’t mean that every single person currently alive knows how the story goes. There will always be someone who will not know the story because NEW PEOPLE ARE BEING BORN ALL THE TIME! And these people would probably would like to enjoy the story without being spoiled even though the beginning does spoil the end! They don’t know that the beginning tells you the end if they’ve never heard the story before!!!
