Artfol SuggestionsHi everyone, sharing smth a little different today! My experience with Artfol in the past week has been amazing; it’s full of energy and the community is great. Kudos to the two devs, absolute legends-
Being a new app, there are definitely (and understandably) still a lot of aspects that Artfol can improve on. So I’ve compiled a list of suggestions from both my own and others’ experience as some things to think about and look forward to. Do note these are not all my ideas; I agree with some and disagree with others! Feel free to suggest something if you don’t see it here and I can throw it down on the list.

- Many artworks sit in the trending tab for days, with multiple coming from the same artist (don’t get me wrong they’re all hella talented, mad respect)
- Limit 1 post on trending per artist at a time
- A time limit on how long a post can stay on the trending tab (maybe max 2-3 days)
- A wait time before one of your posts can be trending again

- Can be placed in a new tab to the right of your gallery and feed but before your about page
- Can be placed as a new

- Be able to rearrange posts in your gallery in different orders (beneficial for portfolio management and aesthetics, bad for consistency, time, engagement, etc.)
- Be able to choose how your artwork will be cropped in your gallery

>> More Link Logos
- Some links in your about page don’t have logos, such as cardd

- Looks somewhat bare, possibly allow more images to be listed

- Ex. Liking an Instagram comment
- Can also be negative, promotes numbers and likes too much, takes away the drive of replying to comments
>> Easier Replies
- Be able to reply to comments from notifications
- When tapping on a comment notification, it takes you straight to that specific comment rather than the general post
>> Comment Filter
- Lets you decide between accepting comments from everyone, no comments at all, or only comments from people you follow on your posts (Only allowing comments from people that follow you can be a potential way to gain followers so I would not recommend)
- Comments can not be restricted on critique posts or questions since they’re asking for feedback
>> Editing Art in Art Post
- Beneficial in that you no longer have to reupload work after changing minor details
- Can cause confusion if abused / people completely changing posts
>> Editing Comments
- Shows the comment has been edited after being edited (similarly to what Discord does)

- Gives the ability to link posts and profiles
>> Dark Version
- An option to switch to a dark mode of the app where you can save your eyes when you wake up at 3 am in the morning and decide to check your Artfol notifications

- Some way to cut down on reshares so feed isn’t cluttered (Making reshare posts smaller or a way to filter them out)
- A way to remove seen artwork so artwork at the bottom of the feed can be seen (for heavily cluttered feeds)

- More small perks (ex. another cake option)
- 6 month or yearly subscription

That’s about it for now! Most these have been brought up to the developers already and they’re already working on implementing some so I’m super excited :D
Again, the devs are working super hard and it’s important to give them some appreciation! Not all of those will be incorporated into the app because it’s very expensive and funding may not cover it.

Sorry i didn't get the whole part for "prisma development". Is the meaning of make Artfol an app with a cost? O-O'

•may I suggest touch or slide for when you hand over the artwork you are currently looking at in the gallery to the next one easily? or maybe it could be applied to home tabs either(home, search, alarm, dm)

•I personally hope they don't follow other social media & add the option to like comments. The fact that the only way to acknowledge a comment is to reply to it (as you would in real life) adds meaning to replying to someone - you have to actually say something to them. I've had a lot of great interactions and conversations on this app so far, thanks in part to the fact that you can't just like a comment and move on. Additionally, it encourages other people to leave comments as well instead of just liking a post that they agree with. The fact that there are no likes on comments also stops it from feeling like there's a right or popular opinion, everything is equal.

•these are great ideas, though i think Group Chats would be huge source of gossip and drama. probably best we avoid something like that.

Few sites do this anymore but I would like to be able to delete the artwork that I've seen from the people I follow in the feed section. Once you start following alot of people, you never make it all the way down the feed to see everything. Deviantart still does deleting art notification. I wish more apps allowed that.

yess i love all these ideas!! to add to the comment suggestion, i'd love to be able to reply from the notification or when tapping on the comment from your notifs, it'll take you straight to the comment itself. i find it pretty hard to navigate if people reply to me and the post has a ton of comments.
