Another CattoA finished pet portrait commission for @ flywolf_ on Instagram! I just love cats with round faces, they’re so precious-
I am planning on doing more portraits like this to develop my style, do y’all see any many issues I should take note of next time? Thanks y’all Apr 19, 2021
Nothing to large to note. My one suggestion would be to try and avoid hard lines when defining the chin. Rather try and give the area depth with shading before brining out the chin with some finer hair lines and highlights.
Oh wow your art is great! Only suggestion I have is to add a bit more texture to the fur on the bottom left (probably just by adding more colour variation but still keeping the detail vague!)
Amping up contrast between foreground and background could be helpful. And don’t be afraid to push the vibrancy. Remember: you’re an artist, not a camera.
whoa you represented the gorgeous far wellYou can add detail textures for example the top of far lights shine on, so the pieces will be more dimensional and lively I think
I personally love this piece a lot! The soft and smooth blends of the fur that contrast with the hard distinct lines of whiskers and edges rly makes this piece. It reminds me of goergia o keeffes own flowers in a way. The eyes tie everything together, piercing and glossy with a somewhat playful and knowing look. I'd say make the nose more visible again the dark fur and just maybe, JUST maybe, add some more depth to the mouth area.
I think this was really well done! The glassiness of the eye and the cat's almost smug expression were things I really enjoyed c: I think the cat's values were maybe a little too close to the bg, so I would suggest adding a little more highlight to the left side. That's just me!
I love this!! Only thing I can notice is that the nose kind of blends in with the hair around it therefore I would focus on making sure this stands out next time
Not too knowledgeable about animal anatomy but the nose area looks flat in comparison to the rest of the piece so developing the form of the nose area would enhance it in my opinion. But it’s a great work as always!
I love the flow in this piece! The only thing that stands out to me is the nose gets a bit lost since it’s so dark against dark fur. Adding a bit more highlight would bring it out slightly more c: other than that, lovely job!
Oh I love the fur render! And the eyes!!!! Maybe the snoot is a bit far to the left? But might only my weird sense of perspective tbh. Really pretty, Im surw fly wolf will love this!
