I'd like to know too, lol. I can't do it full-time, I get terribly burned out. That's why I'm getting a teaching credential to teach as my day job

You're in for a surprise when you learn that full time artists don't do art completely for those 40 hours. For freelance, a lot goes towards admin and marketing time.

My best job was working in an indie game studio. Because it was a small team, it went I was switching between, UI, animation, character design etc.
Despite it being a 40hr week, I loved it, totally suited my adhd tendencies

Developed discipline and other hobbies.
There's no 'not having recharge time', you learn to pace yourself, you make that recharge time as important of a part of your life as any other.

I separate my work art and my personal art
But also, I work in a very "that's what the client want, make the most of it" type of way when I have to do something I don't like
I'm still just a student so my client works are quite limited but yeah that's how I work :3

I just think of all the horrible job's I've done before and how blessed and lucky I am to be able to work at a job like this. It's creative, fun and diverse, so that's all I ever wanted

I'm working myself not to feel burnt out, the pressure to post more and more after drawing did not help. But sketching for 10 minutes a day and then working towards that allows me to have a better relationship with my art. Then again I only do freelance.
•
I'm not a professional but that can apply to any jobs, not just artist. Having passion for doing something you like doesn't always mean that it's always fun, i like drawing but i can feel tired and frustrated sometimes when things don't go in way.

I’ll be honest, I absolutely have no idea how I haven’t burnt out yet lol
But yeah, it’s hard. Nothing in life is supposed to be easy. Talent and hard work I think won’t be enough unless you have the heart for it.
It really boils down to loving what you do imo. Rest is still important, but some people really are just built different.
