Hey, what does it means to flat your layers? Is it the same as merging all the layers? If so why should I do it?
Btw I have never done that in my many years of digital art, am I in trouble somehow?

More layers require more memory, so if you're working big canvases with a lot of layers it might be too much for your pc to handle

•if you mean flat colors, then it means unshaded color. otherwise i think its just merging all the layers, usually to make the file smaller
