It's Springtime... Pass the Dee[oc Dee]
It's been 11 months since I last drew Dee. Where does the time go??
I've been playing LOADS of Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream lately, and naturally Dee and Shirley are on my island. It tickles me that with the new Mii Maker, I can finally be faithful to their hairstyles.
...Tangentially: with all the time that's passed since I made Dee, Shirl, and their friends, I'm thinking I might start leaning towards writing them as older. I'm content with what happens to them as teens. Maybe now it's time to consider their early 20s. Just letting you know, in case you see me mentioning them at university instead of high school!
Oh, and the palette and composition of this piece was very much inspired by Quazies. I adore them as an animator - especially their backgrounds!Apr 28, 2026

I love the way you drew the knot in that tree. The perspective on Dee is a great use of cheating the shape to show expression too. I'll have to check out this animator you're inspired by
