Dearly Departed
Seeing how my favorite thing about art is the chance to mess with colors, I saw #aprilcolors2021 on Instagram, and I could not help jumping in!This first drawing is one of Petrel! I thought I’d break him out of his sewer home for an illustration so he can hang with ‘Ryker’ :’D
While the first prompt was ‘mossy’, the colors didn’t quite turn out that... mossy :’) You’d think it’d be really easy to pick out a mossy color palette, but none of the palettes I found or made were doing it for me. So when a palette isn’t working for me, sometimes I change the time of day— so I made two versions :’) There is thing version— dusk — and another that’s nighttime. The night version will be on my Instagram! Apart from the struggle with palettes, I rather like the piece!Apr 1, 2021
