Water catto
First I got burned out, then managed to catch a virus or something and got sick. Not just my willpower to art went away, but my willpower to live as well. I try to consider this as a holiday - considering how burnout I am, probably that's why I got sick as well, being exhausted - and slowly easing myself back into the fun side of art.IDK about you, but whenever I am this art blocked I just get scared, what if I lost my spark to do art? What if I don't wanna do art anymore? What if I don't enjoy it anymore? It scares me all the time - but honestly, taking a longer break managed to recover me so far and slowly reset me to my normal mental state: like I am doing art bc it is fun and not bc it is a task. I have many projects on the go at the same time and all of them started to feel like chores and I have no fun in that.
So as a recover route, I just take my time to rest, sleep in and draw ONLY when I feel like it, bc I can draw, but it is not a must. If I wanna go outside to walk for 2 hours alongside the fields and hunt for bones, I do that, if I wanna play Heroes 4 for 2 hours I do that, if I wanna make some pancakes I do that. I did work on art pieces, like this one and this one is another draw along Aaron Blaise piece, bc of the trees are assholes, but I really wanted to put Ivory on it instead of the leopard Aaron was drawing, so here it is :3 a Tree practice piece that suddenly became personal art as well and shamelessly stole revqant's water style. Also finished this one in under 3 days, so yeah, I really took it slowly.
BTW: Ivory is my water spirit catto, a soul in a leopard body and jaguar spots, bc I can. She is kind of mixture of a strawberry leopard, siamese and piebald designs as well.
I am still not feeling my details just yet, but I will be getting there.
