I'm nonbinary with they/them pronouns, and i really want to see more theythems on theythems romance in any media (or just anyone taking interest in a theythem for once), but seems like I'll have to write most of it myself. However, it sounds like pure terror, grammatically!
Imagine
One character is "they"
The other is "they"
"They took their hand in theirs" i am already scared but okay that happens every time two characters have the same pronouns that's normal right?
And maybe they get caught by someone else, so now there's a plural "they" but also could i be talking about one of the lovers?
"Their hands were shaking"
WHO AM I TALKING ABOUT
I know that with enough mental gymnastics and practice it can be solved but by gawd
I'll never stop making fun of the grammatical situations my pronouns may get me into in any language, that's my right and my dutyNov 2, 2021

It is kind of a nightmare to try to write things, ngl haha after a couple pof phrases you can’t always use their names because it sounds weird, so you have to be doing math for it to make sense haha
I have a bunch of they/them characters and it’s a challenge, specially, as you said, when they’re with other they/thems on the scene. But in the end it comes out right and its so worth it!
Yes, I’ve tried writing a scene with both Canna and Elowen there and it was chaos in the begging
