Chilling in the Grass

Okay, so I couldn't let the golden cattos theme go :D I really loved the stream drawing along thingie, so I had to draw my own version too. My original idea was to go silver instead of gold, but it looked weird, so I stuck with gold. I also wanted to keep the villain theme with dramatic light, but as I started to sketch this guy turned out happily chilling and fell in love with that. And ever since he is chilling and laying on the ground I really needed to put an actual ground under him, so I needed to draw some environment for him, so a stuck with grass. And in the very last moment, I decided to do some kind of dappled lighting - but I couldn't go with warm tones on hard light, because my cat is blue and my warm light will end up being green on him. Also, his spots are already yellow. So I worked with lighter blue instead.

I know, I know, it is a mess, because I made lots of last-minute decisions and didn't plan this piece thoroughly out also only had a leopard ref for the head, but not for the paw/arm, nor human ref for the pose, so I kinda winged it. Every anatomical mistake is 100% mine, but this is also another de-stressing piece - depression is lurking around me, hell yeah - so you know what, fuck it, I don't care, I am already stressing about my horse commission I am working on.
