Mammon

I redesigned her and she didn't change like crazy, I gave her mostly a new outfit, which fits her time period better and still to give that "serious rich business woman"-vibe of. Cuz giving fur coats to people makes them look richer lol.
But the color scheme is so good now.
Yellow is ofc for greed and because of gold. And then green, because that's how the money of our time looks now (dollars). But it's the color of envy. And envy and greed are closely connected as sins.

About her:

She's basically the one who would do anything for a penny.
So it was easy to get her involved into a mob to gain wealth and power.
She owns the most famous bar in Kamsi City, being Franxter, owned by Franx. (Who has already been shown in the comic)
They are business partners, but he is the public face while she stays hidden in the background, because she doesn't like attention. Why?

She became very paranoid over the years that other monsters would try to steal her fortune. Her greed led to her pushing others away, isolating herself.
She often can't sleep well because of her worry, hence the dark circles.

Mammon does go out, but only to do her business things, so she can make more money, the only reason she does anything at all. Her condition is called "gold-sickness".
Her magical ability is to shapeshift, so she can impersonate others perfectly.
Like I said, she would do anything for money, so she gets some special tasks from the mob boss himself Scharu. Let's just say they are very morbid and cruel and it involves...child trafficking. The thing is, she even says in the story that it's cruel and sick, but she does it anyway.

Relationships

Asmo (Lust)

He and her were once a couple a long time ago, they even had a daughter: Auria.
But yeah, they are not anymore together. Not only that, but Mammon hates Asmo a lot, despises him. One thing is, that her paranoia drove him away, that even he could take her treasures away.
She also hates how popular he has gotten due to his radioshow, not that she's jealous, but it puts unwanted attention on her.

And it's also speculated that Asmo cheated several times on her, but it has yet to be seen if it really was something that bothered her, since she lacked a lot of actual love. Probably more of a case "He did do something behind my back, so he could do something like stealing behind my back as well!"

Auria

She's her daughter, but Mammon is everything but a good mother.
She's strict, dismissing and is physically and mentally abusive to her, since Mammon would even distrust her own daughter.
The thing is, Mammon is somewhat right, since Auria got some traits from her mother when it comes to money, but she learned very quickly it was a bad idea to steal from her mom.

Beelzebub (Gluttony)

She hates Beelzebub, just for the fact how her lavish lifestyle wastes away so much precious money from the collected protection fee. Beelze actually tried to reason with her by sending invitation letters to her for the parties.
But Mammon would always decline, because she thought that Beelze would do something shady... yeah who am I kidding, she thought she would steal from her.

Lucifer (Pride)

Wait, there is someone who is just as wealthy as she is?
Oh you can just imagine how much she hates that guy.
And he would call her a cheap copycat for trying to imitate his status.

Sir Leviathan (Envy)

Weirdly enough, in a way they are kinda closer than you would expect.
Don't get it wrong, they would totally stab each others back, if they had the chance, and they BOTH know it.

But they both hate the same people, especially Asmo, so they do bond over that.
Leviathan ofc is interested in her wealth, Mammon knows it, so she keeps him away, but close enough, so that he thinks he might have a chance with her.
They are more like forced business partners who mildly get along together, but for someone like Mammon that's something. Even Franx is looked down by Mammon and the only reason he is around, is that he can be the public face of her business.

But she does get pissed when he is doing his interviews with Beelzebub and he would always reassure her, that it's just about him needing her to sell more newspapers. Because if it weren't for the rule that he can't ruin another member's life through his newspapers, he would TOTALLY go for it.

Satanus Brutus (Wrath)

He hates Mammon with a passion.
Because of how she treats her daughter, that reminds him to his own...not so happy childhood, where he got negleted.
Mammon sees him as a wild animal, staying away from him as best as she can.
She is cold and controlling, while Brutus is hot-headed.

Belfagor (Sloth)

She respects him for his innovative mind and accomplishments, but she does have her worries, if he has something to could open up her safes without her knowing...

He did built her safety machines, and even though, it is all safe, she still has her mistrusts, if he (and only he) had a way to go all around it.

Belfagor on his behalf doesn't really care what Mammon thinks of him, he does get enough from his boss to continue his research, so why bother with Mammon.

As you read, Mammon seems like a very...lonely person. And don't get it twisted, there shouldn't be too much pity for her.
She's a cruel person, who would committ murder for the sake of getting money, plus being abusive and dismissive in general.Sep 29, 2025
