Nico used to be a spoiled rich teen and a bully. he also had a bit of a rivalry with Avery, the main character, who disapproved of his behavior. but accidentally finding an old photo album caused Nico to reflect on his behavior and he decided to change. he apologized to Avery and asked them for help since he wasn't sure if he could manage it on his own. he also escaped from home from his father who was using him for money and moved in with Avery. then about a year later Avery was unfairly accused of murder. the accuser turned out to be a kidnapper and the missing girl was alive, but he then attacked a couple people with a knife, including Avery. but then Nico hit the attacker in the head, saving Avery's life. he confessed his feelings for them after they left the hospital. now they've been together for four years and Nico has definitely changed from what he was before and he's now a kind and moral person

Hamza actually says no and calls out Andol for his self destructive actions and behaviour saying "Why should I take your advice if you can't even take it yourself?" after just obeying rules and avoiding conflict for his whole life growing up
Andol learns to not hide his problems and it's perfectly okay to vent out his feelings and ask for help after lying about his mental condition for over 7 years
