This drawing was a bit complicated to work on since I used a lot of black for different elements of the character.

To better distinguish the horse from the black blanket, I decided to make the horse lighter, almost more of a dark gray than black, especially because I also needed to differentiate it from the chains so that all the elements could be easily read.
I was inspired by some designs from Elden Ring to add the blanket over the horse, as I feel it makes it look more mysterious than if I just added the mane covering its face.

I made the coffin in Blender using a reference photo. It took me three tries until I got it more or less how I wanted it, and then I imported the drawing into Blender as a reference to roughly adjust the model to the perspective I needed.

The chains look like photo manipulation, but I actually just used a generic glow and shadow to give them volume, which I copied and distorted as needed. That's why they don't quite match the lighting of the coffin.

For this, I based it on a horror tale of alleged paranormal encounters in Mexico, where a man mentioned seeing a giant black horse in the middle of a highway in the early morning carrying the coffin of a child who was crying for his father. The animal wasn't aggressive; it walked slowly and seemed rather sad and melancholic.

According to locals, in the '80s, a father sacrificed his own son to dark entities for power, and as a result, the child couldn't rest in peace. All those who tried to help him have a proper burial either died or disappeared.
