Metamorphos got a little design update because why not. Mostly I wanted to fuck up his ear fins and tweak his outfit, but I also changed his skin patterns and tattoos while I was at it. Because more of his arms are covered, in order to show off his tentacle ātattoosā, I decided to put them on his legs as well.

nah his look is based off one of those Japanese glass ball floatersā¦ykwim. They use(d) them in fishing I think. I wanted to put a net pattern in there somewhere to rlly sell the idea that he makes his clothes from shipwrecks. Metamorphos also has some Asian inspirations similar to Drachma but Iād say Phosās are small comparatively. It shows up more in the Envy Ring as a whole.
Iāve said it once Iāll say it a million times; when conceptualizing the Vicesā powers, I like to imagine them as fighting game characters. Phosās special weapon is his harpoon, his silly little harpoon!!
There's a little bit of me in every one of the Vices (or Vice versa LMAOOO). When creating Phos all those years ago (when dinosaurs still roamed the Earth btw), I had to ask myself āwhat does it mean to truly envy someone?ā which made me realize that I struggle a lot with jealousy as an artist myself. In creating Viceology I feel like I've come to terms with that part of myself, and I can better recognize irrational lines of thought.
Phos on the other hand has no such self-awareness lmao. He def struggles the most of all the Vices, at least outwardly (everyone has something going on, it just shows up in various degrees). While the Vices can never overcome their Vice, they can learn to live with and manage the symptoms of it. So I'd say there's always the possibility for a happy ending, even if it's messy getting there.
