Spy vs. Spy My designs of Black Spy and White Spy. Itās very fitting that I get obsessed with this comic right now because Iām currently writing a paper about post-WWII/Cold War culture as observed through the lens of Shirley Jacksonās short story āThe Lotteryā. Itās really fun to explore the time period that these silly little spies were conceived in. It contextualizes things that you otherwise wouldnāt pay attention to.The next character Iām redesigning is The Lady in Gray, I want to make her a ātoon like Black and White without completely eliminating the idea of her having a human form. Iāll definitely just make it a human disguise that she likes to wear.
The headcanons are based off of canon. Neither of the spies really have confirmed attributes so for their personalities I just take note of things that interest me and expand on them. Like how we see Black Spy playing stringed instruments a lot, while we see White Spy playing reed ones. Both of them have been seen with dogs before but Whiteās the only who feeds pigeons at the park as far as I know. Bleh. The ambiguity just gives me room to do whatever I wantā¦
