The fair [bonus below]
{In frame: Ian (Redacted), age unavailable, he/him, and Lincoln Ashford, 8, he/him}Ian knew what he had to do if they were going to make it back to the apartment by nightfall. But it wouldn’t be pretty. Nor would it be pleasant.
He glanced down at the plush bear Lincoln had gotten at the fair. “Hey, give that thing a name. I’m tired of looking at it as is.”
Lincoln sniffed, wiping his face. “I can’t think of one.”
Ian spotted a woman nearby. He nudged his head in her direction. “Go ask her for a name.”
“You’ll stay here?”
“Go,” Ian snapped.
Lincoln frowned. “Fine.” He tied his balloons around Lincoln’s shoe.
“What are you doing?” Ian snapped.
“You have my balloons. If you go anywhere with them I’m gonna punch you!”
Before Ian could reply, Lincoln scurried to the woman.
Lincoln rolled his eyes. He then painstakingly dislocated his thumb, gritting his teeth and clenching his eyes shut. But he slipped one of his hands out of the handcuffs. Quincy would be sure to give him a lecture about it later.
It was going to be a long night.Apr 21, 2022
