Just thought of this and I’m curious, where do y’all draw? (Like where do you sit when you draw)
I see people talking about back/neck pain etc from drawing at a desk and sometimes I just. Forget that a lot of people actually sit down at a desk to draw
I usually just draw while lying in bed lmao. It’s comfortable and if I had to sit at my desk to draw then I probably wouldn’t draw nearly as much (I’ll sit at a desk for traditional art but that’s it)Dec 22, 2023

I usually draw at a desk or on the bed. If I'm drawing on the bed, I'm more likely to get too comfortable and I want to go to sleep. I sometimes draw on the floor or standing near a high table since I draw on an iPad or a sketchbook.
I do wish I have a swivel chair. That'll be fun.

Table or desk. I don't get back pain unless I draw for too long. I've only done that maybe once, where I worked for so long that I had to rest for several days afterwards.
•
If I'm drawing digitally then I draw at my living room table because that's where my laptop is, but if I'm drawing traditional then I'll pretty much draw anywhere
•
I lie on my back on bed. It's just so comfy. Haven't experienced back or neck pain so far
•
At my desk! I often use many colorpencils or markers, so the desk is messy, I don't know how could I draw somewhere else, for example while lying in bed, where would all the art supplies be?
Or like someone mentioned that they draw in the kitchen - I would have to take all art supplies to the kitchen

•I’m either at my desk for paper or wherever on my iPad. I have an artist desk and an armless swivel chair which is pretty comfortable
•
•Since I have an iPad, I don’t really have to stay in one place when I draw and I typically don’t either. I’ll usually start on the couch, or on my bed and then I end up wandering to say the kitchen table. Of course, I don’t always do this, sometimes when I’m really focused on my drawing, I’ll stay in the same spot for a while, so it really depends.

I’m always on the move. Right now, I’ve made a nest in my stepfather’s kitchen during the Christmas break.
It’s on a narrow table in a cramped room next to the microwave and facing the door in.
I like it. I can cook and clean and go straight to drawing while the room still smells like soap and onions :]

•I mostly draw digitally. I have a desktop PC and the tablet connected to it so... Yeah, draw at my desk most of the time, and it is a pain ahsjjsjs I want a Samsung tablet so I can draw in my bed :c (I don't want an iPad bc I'm not used to Apple at all lmao)
•
I usually draw at my standing desk (because sitting a few hours straight is killing my back)

•
usually at my desk (8 out of 10 i sit in very weird sitting positions and change the way i sit like every two mins lmao) and on my bed
•
•Desk most of the times, but place changes at random: bed, mom's room, dinning room, living room, backyard to be with my kitties.
•
•I sit at my desk, the paper lies on the flat surface. I wish I had a leaning support to place the paper sheet at the right angle. When I need to trace a sketch onto a new sheet, I stick everything to my window, but drawing vertically is super uncomfortable.
•
I sit at my desk. I've drawn in bed a few times but having my laptop and tablet on my bed and trying to draw properly is not as comfortable as it sounds

•
Corner of my bed, couch, at the kitchen table, the stairs, on top of my desk
Yknow, the usual

•i sit in bed too. usually have my laptop next to me playing a video while my display tablet is propped up with my knees. no neck/back pain for me :D
•
•I draw on my bed leaning my back against the wall and I just get eraser crumbs and smudged graphite everywhere lol
•
•i usually just lie on my stomach like a gator and draw on the bed, but then if i want to get up my lower back will hurt so much

if i draw on the desk my upper back will scream bc i sit like a shrimp

•Usually in my bed in the same position as when I sleep (on my left side). Other times, on the subway train or lying on the couch
. I have enough back pain from schoolwork so I need art to rest my body and mind
