Frida
Oh my finally managed to finish this official ref sheet for Frida :D I really loved working on this slowly whenever I had time for personal art - I do think she is kind of a nicely shaped horse :3But who is Frida?
Frida is one of the Gods and Goddesses of Hevos and daugther of Ilta. Her birth was caused by an accident: Ilta had a fight with his sister Aamu a long time ago and it was so heated they raised hooves and one star of Ilta's body fall down. Ilta did not want to let this star die - those stars are very precious for him - he rather breathed life into it and gave the new creature a purpose and a name: Tähti (star) and she is the Mother of the Stars and Goddess of the Night Sky - her main job is to watch over stars, create new ones, finish old ones and keep things in motion above. She is only responsible for the stars, not night, just stars. She is supposed to stay where Deitys usually hang out at her universal throne or something, but Tähti loves to go against the usual and she often jumps down for a (usually not-so-short) visit of the land of Hevos. She loves to gisguse who she is, so she picked up the name Frida and hid her true form - walking around with gas hair and stars shining on her coat and hair can cause questions.
Small folk thinks when a shooting star appears that is Frida, going down to mortals. Maybe they are right. Frida has magic, but not like Makali or Céleste. She is on a very different, higher level than them - with one world she can create heat, radioactivity and light in space, the physical world of Hevos is like a playground for her. It only takes one word and rivers change course, mountains rise, continents slip apart if she wants. The power of Gods on land is just too much for this world to handle and they are usually almighty in the physical world. But Frida is not destructive at all - she comes among mortals to de-stress, have fun and escape her boredom. I mean being among Gods and doing your job without any break for aeons can be boring sometimes. Immortality is tiring xD Frida is a shapeshifter and can take any living form of the physical world - not just horses. She LOVES to play with this as often as she can: she appears in the form of a tiny rat, to deer, canine, feline or whatever she wants. She often uses her horse form as well, but changing breeds often - from a smol pony to lean sporthorse. She is a a baroque type of horse (Andalusian originally) so usually avoids the boring usual looks, but ofc she has the draft horse options as well. The shapeshifting applies to hairstyles as well and she is a huge fan of that - according to her mood she can go from perfectly hairless to looong waves; the possibilities are endless. The only thing that stays always the same her colours. Doesn't matter in what form or even gender she is - she is born as a female but can change that - her colours are always the same, even if the other type of animal usually doesn't have these colours. Frida is a cheeky mare, very flirty, very smart and sassy. Often said whenever she jumps down she is having fun with her current favourite partner or partners even and rumours have it she birthed more than one offspring from a mortal. (Hello there Zeus, you have a rival now!) Kiddos may have some weird power or may not, time will tell. She is fond of her kids, but not the usual mother figure and she is not close to her mortal offsprings.
I can make a reference sheet like this for your equine OC! My December is still wide open for commission works, so if you are in need of art of your OC, I am more than willing to work with them :3Oct 31, 2021
