another digital experiment

Kinda hate this but had fun :P Was supposed to be a quick doodle but ended up spending hours on it wanted to shade with purple and ended up with this,, still no idea how to draw digitally it look bad and washed out :| just playing around with some brushes again and this time i tried to do some more texture and effects and stuff? didn’t plan on making the eyes like that but randomly tested a glow brush and kinda liked how it looked lol so just having fun trying different stuff, used the glowy thing on his face too – but there’s parts of this that i have no idea what happened, think there was some accidental strokes i forgot to undo or didn’t notice until i had already gotten much further so didnt want to redo all that process over again; I actually forgot about layers so everything’s on the same except for the rough sketch i did for the face itself (did that one and lineart several days ago. Just random doodle i decided to colour yesterday and this is the result)
So the lineart was a bit washed away when i did the skin and also the way i did the hair ruined some things..
Also forgot to flip it so it looks super wonky when i do


The hardest part for me so far when it comes to digital is rendering also getting the proportions right sometimes.
But I started doing a doodle of Ant after this one (taht i also ended up spending way too long time on) and think it looks better but still so hard to figure out how to go about the rendering — and takes me so much longer than any traditional mediums i’m used to
