Ravyn (Ages 93–165)
During his time with the Holy Quartet, Ravyn began to study magic in earnest. He dedicated himself to learning everything he could, spending most of his free time immersed in magical research whenever he was not relaxing with Yuno. This period marked the beginning of his deep understanding of Magic itself.
It was also during this era that Ravyn met Yuno and lost his right arm. It was later replaced with the grey-and-red mechanical prosthetic arm that he has for a long time until its replaced with the golden version.
Unfortunately, this was also one of the darkest periods of Ravyn’s life. Due to the abuse he endured at the hands of Alberto, he developed into a high-functioning alcoholic. This became a serious struggle that he only began to regain control over after founding his mercenary group and separating from the Holy Quartet.
About the Artwork: In this piece, Ravyn is studying magical potions, carefully examining how they work and exploring their potential uses. He is particularly interested in how they might be applied in combat or used to help others.
When Ravyn studied magic, his eyes often glowed with the color of his own magic. This happened because his magical energy would naturally react to the substances and spells he was working with.
He also frequently shapeshifted the membrane flaps on his arms out of existence, as they tended to get in the way while studying. This was how the other members of the Holy Quartet, aside from his sister, first discovered that he could shapeshift. Looking back, Ravyn finds that revelation rather amusing.
After the Holy Quartet discovered just how much mana Ravyn possessed, they insisted that he wear an additional magical limiter. What they did not realize was that Ravyn was already heavily restricted by the limiters he had been wearing for years.
The extra limiter proved dangerously unstable when combined with his existing restraints. Ravyn was forced to tamper with and recalibrate the device himself in order to prevent a catastrophic magical implosion. Had he failed, the overwhelming pressure of his suppressed mana could have caused devastating consequences for both himself and everyone nearby.
