Yuno
Meet Yuno!
Cǎihóng Yún, most commonly known as Yuno, got her nickname from Ravyn, who, due to his heavy Basilisk accent, struggled to pronounce her real name and ended up calling her “Yuno.” She didn’t mind and stuck with it. Now, almost everyone uses that name outside of formal settings, especially since she works professionally as a lawyer.
Her first meeting with Ravyn was… far from ideal. She was the one who saved him from bleeding out after he lost his right arm. Despite the chaotic and rather grim circumstances (and Ravyn being slightly delirious), she decided to stay in contact. Partly because she found him kind of cute.
Yuno is the Soul Goddess of Hope, which is also why her hair carries a subtle rainbow coloration. Her primary role is maintaining balance between positive and negative soul concepts. Currently, things are relatively calm, so she isn’t as occupied with that responsibility as she usually would be.
She has a complicated past with the Death Trust cult, having been born into it. For a time, she was forced to act as an unwilling spy before eventually escaping through a long and painful process. Afterward, she had the cult’s mark professionally removed to sever all ties with them completely.
Her sister, Yuki, avoided being dragged into the cult thanks to her position in the Royal Scientist Department, which made any attempt to force her involvement too risky and visible.
Due to her unstable magic, Yuno wears three magic restrainers and remains in a restrained state at all times. Unlike Ravyn, she has no control over her magic when unrestrained.
Personality wise, Yuno is very calm, cold, and difficult to read. Most people can’t tell what she’s feeling at all. Only those who’ve known her for a long time can pick up on her emotions. She’s also extremely cunning and can absolutely be a pain to deal with when she wants to be.
Physically, she has a muscular build and a naturally deep voice, which often confuses people. She is nonbinary and uses she/they pronouns.
Yuno is physically the strongest member of the group, a result of her past as a royally trained former royal guard. She typically wields a spear in combat when not relying on soul magic, though she often prefers close-quarters, hand-to-hand fighting. This is a result of her past as a royally trained royal guard. Although she is no longer actively serving, she remains on standby duty, only being called back in case of attacks or invasion attempts.
Her former spear is now owned by Ravyn, who modified it so it can also function as a staff, blending both of their fighting styles.
After being hit by Sapphire Blue’s deafening spell, Yuno received cochlear implants. Ironically, this improved her hearing significantly, since she had been hard of hearing before. This led to the long-running joke that Ravyn always sounded like he was yelling at her.
She met Sol through Ravyn. After Ravyn married her, Yuno and Sol started interacting more and eventually became close. About a year later, they confessed their feelings to each other in a rather funny way.
Yuno often works as the Magic Guardians’ lawyer, which is why she’s considered an honorary member of the group.
She has suffered multiple serious injuries such as
Lost half of her right arm after it was damaged beyond saving
Lost one of her legs as a child after wandering into an area filled with animal traps
Got scrached aross her face (ravyn had a mental breakdown and pysically attack her)
Got hit by a pointy stick aross her face cauing her eye scar by one of her kids Despite everything, Yuno often acts as the voice of reason between Ravyn and Sol… …at least half of the time. Because when she snaps, she can be just as unhinged as they are.......and you dont want that.......trust me
