WolpertingerI love mythical creatures, and I drew three of them. This one is a Wolpertinger. A rabbit mix from Germany!
It has the head of a rabbit, body of a squirrel, wings and plumage of a pheasant and antlers of a deer along with fangs - which I forgot to add. From what I've read, this is the most common interpretation. They inhabit the alpine forests of Bavaria and Baden-Württenberg.
I remember seeing somewhere that Wolpertingers are mischievous, but I can't find it now. I believe that places in Southern Germany DO sell "stuffed Wolpertingers", which are basically stuffed animals sewed together.
I'm not German, I'm not very well-versed with their stories and creatures, so some of this might be wrong, it's all stuff that I've found on the internet.Feb 28, 2021
