If youre polish and were into history you might recognise these names, yes its history based, call me cringe for turning a polish prince into an angle ish figure for a story
Its not idealisation, its for exploing some ideas floating in my brain
Oh and if you wanna know the context. Poland got christined in the 960s by one guy called Mieszko. Time skip to his grandchildren in the 1030s one of them (acctually two: Bezprym and Otto but Bezprym was the bigger deal) kicks his brother (Mieszko Lambert) out of the throne and does a pegan revolt. So Mieszko fucks off to germany to his mom and Bezprym gets killed by one of his own men.
So the fuck does this have to do with the kind of scrapped story. Turns out Bezprym was a guardian of the slavic mythology peeps and was trying to protect these guys from loosing their foothold. And his beef with Mieszko Lambert (who didnt like em slavic monsters) extends to the afterlife, with each of them having a hero throught generations and beefing with eachother through them
I still have to do more research history wise to make sure its a bearable concept. If not, ill probably make shit up and change some names. But here is the end of my polish history fanfic for an urban fantasty story
