I would like to add a bit more toy previous text post about diversifying my ocs.
I want to diversify mostly because I'm getting bored of the same characters. Plus, I see so many diverse characters and people that are so pretty and it inspires me to create similar characters.
The reason for the sentence "my darkest skin character yet" (which I now realize sounds pretty wierd) was just because when I create darker skinned ocs, I tend to go pretty light, I think it's cause my designs tend to skew pastel and sometimes it's hard to make particularly dark skin work with it (it'll just look out of place)
I want to represent minority groups at least a bit more than I am.
I have 100+ocs (exact number changes depending on the list lol) and so many of them have almost the same skin colors, hair designs, etc that it's getting hard to create new characters that look unique. Changing up skin tone, hair styles, etc, adding disabled characters, etc, might be able to help with some of my art block relating to creating new characters.
