OK SO this is actually an old drawing that I finished rendering when I was pretty art blocked. Like, I started the sketch on february of 2024 and finished it until this year, so pretty much anything other than the rendering is old. Yeah I could've fixed it a bit more.......... but I'm lazy :P I think it still looks cool enough, maybe???

oh and if you don't recall/know, this is Meri! She's a demon who became a hero because, well, she likes helping people! I like keeping her lore a bit of a mystery, so I'll only say she bears a lot of guilt. Guilt for things that aren't her fault. She truly believes that no ammount of good deeds can compensate for how awful she is. And there are people who reinforce this belief! People who see demons as menaces, as nothing more than criminals! I mean, she IS a demon, she's the perfect scapegoat for everything that's wrong with our world.

mmm also, idk if you noticed in my last Hideki drawing, but I tittled it with a line from a song (Oh No! by MARINA :3)... so I wanted to keep the theme with a song that depicts this aspect of Meri's story so well: a song about scapegoats. anyway, what I'm saying is that you all should listen to Chivo Expiatorio by El Cuarteto de Nos, it's a banger
