Neron whenever he's tired of something or like we say in Spain "hasta los cojones."
Ting Ting whenever she thinks she has everything under control.
For Valentine the "right thing" doesn't exists, everything he does ends up being the wrong thing.
However he wants for Jack Nero.
I mean, Lender has to be aware of everything, it's his job, so whenever the right moment comes. I guess.

meija is a spontaneous gal and she'll trust her gut first. josef would ruminate over it for a day or more until it's too late to act or he's confronted with the urgency to act. jonas would say "it depends", but when he's self-motivated he's very determined to do what he thinks is best.

Will and Sicarius both use "external morality" (aka traditional morality, the idea that morals are not situational). This doesn't prevent them from doing the wrong things sometimes of course.
Nimbus has a "justice module" built into him so he can sense injustice in some situations and experience anger about it, but he's otherwise an amoral entity. Zenith is similar but his module is more "comprehensive." Nimbus's is kind of bare bones, where Zenith is capable of comprehending the moral standing of things like theft, cheating, and revenge. Nimbus's honor code is sort of "incidental" due to his Blood Knight status. Like he won't attack someone who is unarmed/not willing to fight, but only because he thinks it would be boring to instantly kill someone.
Most akula, especially the human-eating ones, use situational/individual ethics. Mostly to justify hunting humans for food. Some akula are completely nihilistic though.

Krys : he doesn't really so he asks his sister
Sally : try to think and find the right thing and hope it will work.
Selim : he plans things in advances, and studies all the program to know if he should do that or no.
Mona : have no clue and asks her siblings
