ChilenaSince it will be national holidays this weekend in my country, Chile, I felt in the mood to participate in @kiremii's challenge.
So I felt like drawing my character, Margarita wearing an specific attire, the one used by some of the dancers for "La Virgen de la Candelaria", a celebration that happens in the city of Copiapó, in northern Chile dedicated to one if many variants of the Virgin Mary. There are many different attires depending on the dance and folk group, but one I personally liked for her was this short white dress.
This celebration is usually in February, but since these days we are celebrating my nation, I felt it was still appropriate to draw her in this particular attire.

Margarita herself is Chilean, to being specific, she's a mixed raced lady from indigenous and white heritage, though most uf is in Hispanic America are, but usually not as direct as Margarita, who had an indigenous dad and a white mom. She was also born and raised in the city this celebration takes place in real life, so she grew sorrounded by this culture and traditions. She rapidly dances to celebrate both her religion, her home and her family.
