01/30/26Some first drawings of some new characters. I just wanted to get the general essence of them out before coming up with actual designs (if I ever get around to that lol).
Anyways, the idea for their story is that they're a friend group of girls that get sucked into their favourite video game in which they turn into superheroes and have to to protect the virtual city from evil. Kinda like if the latest Jumanji movies met The Power Puff Girls. Idk, ultimately I just wanted to mix video games and superheroes with a cutesy aesthetic and the pre-teen rage I distinctly remember having.
I've been calling it SUPERMAGICA! in my head since that's what I imagine the game to be called but that really does sound like a pre-existing media that stumbled upon in passing at some point and am totally ripping off so idk if that'll stick but it's bothering me that I can't figure out were I heard it from?Jan 31, 2026

I agree with the other comment, pink and middle definitely look like finished designs already. I'd say the last one too when it comes to details and shapes. Maybe just play around with color values a bit for that one?
The rest I think make good bases, just need more detail to match the others.
Speaking of matching, I noticed 3 out of 5 are wearing colorful beaded bracelets/a necklace. Maybe that can be the thing that ties them all together? :)
About the title: I'm pretty sure you were inspired by the magical girl anime Madoka Magica. I never watched it, but I know it is very well known.

These designs are all so fun! I LOVE all of these outfits, the one in the middle and the pink one especially are so fun
