Do you believe in soulmates? Alternatively, what about fate?
(If this flops imma be real sad I love talking about shit like this)
Edit: here’s my take on both of these: soulmates is a definite yes and this is gonna sound really extremely stupid but I didn’t believe in them until I knew about badboyhalo and skeppy, their connection is something that most people could dream of having. I think of soulmates as people who compliment each other perfectly, which does mean that friends and family could also fall in here. Yes you can have more than 1 soulmate, no it does not have to be a specific person/group of people. You might also encounter so many unique individuals throughout your life that you could possibly get along really well with, or you might not meet a single person who’s right for you. It’s the matter of when you meet them, and how developed as a person both parties are(if you’ve ever heard of the whole ‘right person wrong time’ thing that’s what this is). Which brings me to fate. This one is a bit dicey, but yes, in a way, I do believe in fate. But there’s no set path that a person is “supposed” to take, there are infinite storylines. It’s up to the person to choose which one they would like to explore. That’s all, I’ll start actually replying to comments now o7Mar 4, 2021

I believe atoms can be entangled on a quantum level and occasionally we meet someone who has enough entangled with our own that it creates an overwhelming desire to remain together regardless of whether or not you're good for one another. Whether it's fate is debatable but it's more likely to be mathematically probable than impossible. Due to this entanglement yes there can be more than one and yes it can lead to more of a friendship than a romantic relationship. Being drawn to a person doesn't make them perfect or guarantee they'll reciprocate. Then again I'm aro/ace and I've only felt intense desire to be near one person and they're currently married to someone else after rejecting my feelings. It was horrible I don't understand why anyone would want any of that. Before you ask, no, i would not do it again.

But soul mates? I don't think anyone is supposed to be with anyone else. A person might always end up with a predestined spouse but that doesn't mean they are sympatico with that person.

Yes I do believe in soulmates but not in the way most other people do. Like the other half of you doesn't have to be your spouse. It could be a sibling or even a time friend.
Fate is iffy for me. I am more of the idea that you have somewhere you're "supposed to be" but you can EASILY avoid it based on your actions( good or bad karma)

i kinda believe i found my soulmate? but not in a romantic way, it was a best friend that i had for like 5 years or more? but we end up breaking apart 1 year ago. we didn't had a fight it was a really complex problem that forced me to stay away from her
but we used to both say we're soulmates. we just understood each other so well, we had similar mindset, music taste, humour, personality..... so yeah i guess that's how it is
i believe in fate too and in the butterfly effect bc life is crazy sometimes lol i know this is all a big plan and they are playing with us like silly dolls

I don’t believe in soulmates in the way most people do. I don’t really think that oh there’s someone out there that I’m perfect for and whatever. I more of think that, when u build a relationship with someone and y’all are able to grow and make it work for both of u, over time u become soulmates. I think in that way, it’s also more beautiful to see, because soulmates becomes something u create rather than just finding/hoping for
