My Japanese teacher made this lesson note that recommended us to watch "The First Slam Dunk" in theatres if we wanted a break from studying while still getting something out of the experience.

I wasn't really thinking of going, but someone from my class invited me to go, and in the end we managed to plan a movie outing with 9 people from the class :D (+ 1 person who used to study Japanese with us - he dropped the subject once we entered senior high school).

I don't really know many people from my Japanese class since they came from a different campus (of the 12~ people in our class, only 4 of us came from my campus, and the rest are from the other suburb hahaha-), so sharing this experience was really nice for me ^-^

The movie itself made me feel so many emotions- I've been thinking about it so much in the past two days, and I keep searching for clips to show my friends but there's practically nothing aside from the trailer on YouTube :'))

I have no clue if it's still in theatres in other locations, but I really recommend the movie!! You don't need to know anything going into it, and over the 2 hour runtime each character gets such amazing screentime - all of them become really compelling 🥺🥺🥺 Also, there's this angsty sibling relationship that absolutely Broke Me (I cried because of them, oh gosh-) so that's an extra recommendation for the folks who also have a soft spot for siblings :D

This is the first time I hear about this movie, I'll have to watch the trailer :0 also movie outing with 10 people is honestly impresive, it sounds really fun!!
