Great Britain and Reunion islandI have a British and a Creole parent (that's what you call people who come from Reunion!), and I am very close to both cultures so I did the "traditional" clothing for both!
For the British side, the classic school uniform, and for the Creole side, the "sega dress" and the "grand-père" outfit, both used during dance ceremonies and festivals (more so the sega dress).

A brief history of Reunion Island( since I doubt many of you know about it):
Reunion is a small island in the middle of the Indian Ocean off the coast of Madagascar with the 2nd most active volcano in the world! It was originally discovered in the 16th century by a Portuguese ship, at the time of which the famous dodo bird was one of its inhabitants. Soon, however, it came under French rule and is still to this day a French department.
Mainly, our culture is characterized by the memory of our enslaved ancestors. Until 1848, slaves were brought from Africa to work in coffee and sugarcane fields (to this day, sugarcane is the main crop we grow, and is absolutely everywhere!), and their populations more than doubled that of the island. During this time of enslavement, our ancestors created many instruments and songs as creative outlets that are still made and written today (this includes "Maloya", and "Sega").
Reunion is a very culturally diverse island, with people from all around the world coming to live on it. Mainly, Creole culture is a mixture of Indian, Chinese, French, and African cultures, and you can see all these influences in our traditional dishes, clothing, and media.
Oh, and for you pirate lovers, reunion is filled with stories of pirates visiting the island and burying their treasures all around it.
We also speak a local tongue called, you guessed it, Creole!
Although it's small, and in the middle of nowhere, Reunion is a beautiful mountainous island with breathtaking landscapes and incredible people, and I'm very proud to be a part of it.

PS: I don't really have that many OCs, so these characters are actually kid versions of some of my family members!
